Rich and Creamy Homemade Fresh Cream Yogurt | 생크림 요구르트 | 生クリームヨーグルト | Cafe Yooky
Apologize for the echoing during the first 20 seconds.
Double Cream Yogurt is one of my favorite, sold in Korea and Japan. I was craving for this so bad and decided to try making some. It turned out perfect!
If you never tried double cream yogurt, I really hope you try this out.
Recipe:
100 g(ml) yogurt - I used Greek Yogurt
200 g(ml) double cream
800 g(ml) milk - preferably whole milk
As I mentioned in the video, making yogurt is not measurement sensitive. It depends more on the temperature and the quality of the yogurt culture you're using. I made another batch from the same milk carton, the same brand double cream, and yogurt from the same container, the same method 3 to 4 days ago but thi...

    You use sushi rice in this demo. Can you make any type of rice in it? I'm guessing so, but best to check, I think: long grain, basmati, brown...maybe even wild rice (which is not a rice, but is cooked in a similar way)....??? And is sushi rice the typical kind of rice used in Korean cooking? Thanks so much for the lesson in using this stone pot. I've been watching Korean videos where I see it used a lot and was wondering about its pros and cons when it comes to making rice.

    Wonderful video! It's good to see someone do it the traditional Italian way according to Bialetti instructions! There are very few tutorials that teach correct Moka pot technique. The only thing Italians do differently is to remove the pot from the heat the instant you hear it start to gurgle, then let it finish brewing off the stove from the heat that's inside the pot. That way it never tastes burnt. You did mention that the pot shouldn't be left on the flame too long, but it looks like you left it on until it finished brewing instead of removing it early. Overall a great video! I learned from the "Annalisa J Moka pot" video, which is among the very few that teach it correctly. There's also a good one by Ill Barista Italiano, and another one by Italian with Bri.

    I failed at doing silken tofu for the Nth time, the coagulation process didn't worked very fine (not enough nigari maybe). However, adding that sesame oil spoon turned my preparation into the best veganaise (vegan mayonnaise) i ever tasted. Happy fail.

  • @nanani6523
    @nanani6523 Год назад

    Wow thank you so much. That's pretty much all the information I think I needed. I've been trying to make silken tofu for over a year. I bought nigari but I kept doing firm tofu with white vinegar (it suited perfectly my taste, more than nigari to be honest.. and nigari looks like a hell to proportion accurately). I never tried with a steamer and it looks like that's the key for having a silken preparation... Now since I only have a rice cooker to steam, i'll try it that way.. or with a regular pot in another pot. I hope it'll work (i'm skipping the whole homemade milk step because i'm not even sure i'll have a decent eadible result).

    • @CafeYooky
      @CafeYooky Год назад

      You can totally use whole wheat flour to make sujebi :) You might want to increase the water though since whole wheat flour tends to absorb more water. Another option is to use ‘bread flour’ which is high in gluten compared to regular all purpose flour. Bread flour is called ‘strong flour’ in Far East Asia(Korea, Japan)- hope it helps :)
